0 Question: what is the most explosive substance on earth? Asked by lukes to Duncan, Kiran, Paul, Sarah, Sharon on 26 Mar 2010 in Categories: General.
Sharon Sneddon answered on 26 Mar 2010:
I beleive it is the chemical Octanitrocubane. Of course, nuclear explosions would be more poweful but for a single substance, Octanitrocubane is about 2 and a half times more explosive than TNT.
Kiran Meekings answered on 26 Mar 2010:
Hydrogen!
Kiran commented on 26 Mar 2010:
Hmmm sharon’s probably right on that one. I guessed. Hydrogen’s pretty explosive too though…
