• Question: Are different things (like people, and then trees) made out of different Neutrons and Protons? Or do the same Neutrons and Protons make up everything? Or do they just stick in different ways for different things?

We are all made out of the same neutrons and protons – each neutron is identical to each other neutron. They just stick together in different ways for different things – yes. I think it’s one of the amazing achievements of science to work this out. There are so many different things in the world that it’s certainly not obvious that they are just made from a small number of basic things
