• Question: Do you harm animals in your work?

      Hi Charlottie, I don’t harm animals in my work as I work on human tissues and embryos, however, a lot of biomedical research does involve doing animal work. A lot of care and attention is given to these animals. Without animal research, we would not be able to test new medicines and check they are safe. What are your views on animal experiments? Do you think it’s right or wrong?

    i believe that if animal research would benifit humans then it is fine, as long as they are treated humanely. thankyou for taking the time to answer my question, 🙂

    HI Charlottie, I agree with you, I think that experiments for the sake of doing them is wrong, there must be a really good reason for carrying them out and yes, the animals must be treated with respect and in a humane fashion!
