Question: do you think your goal of getting a cure for cancer is unrealistic and how long do you think it will take?

hi Tina, good question.
I don’t think I alone will be able to cure cancer, but I am hoping that the work i do will help towards finding a cure. As cancer is such a varied disease, and there are lots of different types of cancer, there is not ever going to be just one cure, that is why it needs a lot of different scientists all working together. Several cancers at the moment can be cured, but more work is needed so more cures can be found. I think that in the next 20 years, great progress will be made but unfortunately, more diseases will probably have been found by then, so research is always going to be needed!
