Question: Hi, i was just wondering why you chose your career, and how it came to you, as it doesn't seem as much of a straight forward one as a hairdresser or shop assistant?

  I think with most scientists, it’s just that we love science – everything else falls into place. I always knew I wanted to do science at university. After that, it was a natural progression to doing a PhD and working in the lab. After 4 years of that, I wanted to try something a bit different so I tried working in the healthcare department at a bank but didn’t like so I ended up in my current job…. Its amazing how you just try something and love it sometimes…

thanks for the answer, also, i just wanted to ask you how overwhelming the work you did whilst at sixth form was, getting all those A’s!

oh yeah, and whilst the rest of my class faff about voting for Duncan because he’s “cool” and has glasses, (my initial point being that all of you could have glasses but not wearing it in the picture) I spent the time to look into each of your beliefs, and would just like to let you know that you have earned my vote, and I very much hope you win!! 🙂
