Question: How would your work help normal day people?

My work is designed to learn about very basic fundamental stuff about the way the universe works, so it’s hard to give a direct beneficial outcome. On the other hand, things like radiotherapy for curing cancer have come out of people like me asking similar questions, and they will continue to do so. There are always people who are interested in looking at what comes from basic science and figuring out great things to do with it.
