• Question: if you could choose to have any drug to stop cancer what would it be

      Me personally? It depends on the cancer – certain drugs can only be used in certain cancers. But if I could chose to have any cancer and any drug, I would chose a type of leukemia called chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and I would chose a drug called Glivec. Glivec specifically targets a genetic mutation that is present in nearly all cases of CML. It’s meant the difference between dying in a matter of months and having a normal life expectancy. It’s a truly amazing drug and doens’t have bad side-effects… Hopefully we can find more drugs like that to cure different types of cancer!
