• Question: What are your views on using nuclear power? I'm not sure what my opinion is! :)

      Hmmm tricky one- the risk of course is that radiation from the waste has the potential to be dangerous – some cancers are caused by radiation but I hope we don’t we need to worry about nuclear research or nuclear power. Those industries are highly regulated and the waste is carefully controlled so there’s not that much risk from that. Although – having said that, we all remember chernobyl and the accident that happened there so I guess I do worry a bit – we have to be really really careful. I think the benefits of clean nuclear power outweigh the risks but it’s a tricky one. What do you think?

      to be honest, I’m not sure about it either. I know we need to find a new source of energy instead of fossil fuels and nuclear power does fit that bill, I am not entirely convinced of the safety of it all. I think we as a planet should be looking at more renewable and safer options for power. I think it’s good to keep an open mind about things tho!
