While doing my masters I got to work on some very rare fossils of some of the earliest fish, eel-like animals called conodonts. They had no bones, except their teeth. The cool thing about the fossils I worked on is that they are preserved with all their teeth in the right place, and even with remains of their eyes, and there’s only a few tens of these fossils in the world.
