      I don’t do many experiments, since I’m a theoretical physicist. I do run the UCAS days in which applicants to my University (Surrey) who want to study physics come along for interview. As part of the day, we take them to the laboratory and play with some experiments. I like the ones involving liquid nitrogen best – like sticking in a banana skin then smashing it with a hammer!
