Biology was my favourite subject Vedhead. It was also luckily the one that I was best at! I also enjoyed french and german and my least favourite was Maths! How about you?
I liked all of them, and which I liked varied a bit over the years I was at school. When I was choosing my GCSEs there were only the separate sciences to choose from and it was not normal to take all of them, so I decided to drop biology at that point (which is a shame – I wish I knew a lot more about biology) because I was pretty sure I wanted to be a physicist, and did chemistry too, since that was quite closely related to physics. I must admit, though, that sometimes I got frustrated with physics in school. I always wanted to know so much more than the school lessons covered, and thought some of the stuff we did was actually quite boring. I knew that when I got to University it would be wonderful – and it was. So, I actually liked chemistry at school best towards the end. I loved playing with all the chemicals in the practical lessons. Physics practicals were too much along the lines of swinging pendulums back and forth. I loved maths too 🙂
I liked maths the best, but I also liked physics (partly because there’s lots of maths in it!). Chemistry was fun because you get to put lithium in water, but I wasn’t as good at chemistry and biology because you need to remember a lot more.
